Today my partner was asking about miles, the air miles and how to get and use then....well, for me actually I believe the air alliances and companies make it too hard and difficult that the idea is for you never to use it.
The main alliances are: Staralliance.com, Oneworld.com and Skyteam.com all of then cover practically all the world, but as a personal experience always use a travel agent for more complicated itineraries.
The Mastercard and Visa also have agreements for mileage, but I actually never there to use then, it's seens rather complicated, I promisse to check in out and get back on that.
